Together with the City Mission we can make a difference

Partnership

The work we are involved in across the city is recognised by many whom we are delighted to consider partners in our work. Many hundreds of individuals receive our quarterly news and prayer letters and provide the core support for this work both prayerfully and financially.

Many live locally but others are spread across the country and even abroad. A good number of our individual partners are known to us personally, and so are not just names on a database. They also provide the backbone of our volunteer support. Throughout the year various events, both formal and informal, are organised to provide our partners with the opportunity to meet the team and hear first-hand their news and testimonies. Please contact the Centre for the date of our next event.

As a non-denominational organisation we attract wide support from across the Christian spectrum and this is also reflected in our trustees, staff and volunteers. Many churches support and promote our work. Their support may be financial, (sometimes through special fund raising events) and also in kind with gifts of non-perishable food to the Basic Bank. Local schools have also supported the Basic Bank by organising the collection of similar items at harvest times. In addition, members of our team are invited to speak at meetings, both mid-week and on Sundays.

In recent years the work has received support from a number of trusts, grant making bodies and companies as we have made known to them the various areas of our work. Dozens of local charities, organisations and statutory bodies are happy to refer their clients to us to receive the help provided by the Basics Bank. The partnerships that we have formed over the years reflect the value that is placed on our input into the lives of people across the city.
